Echo — leave a message at a place, unlocked on arrival

Place an audio or text message at any real spot in the world, remotely. It stays locked until the person you sent it to physically arrives — then it opens and plays. For long-distance couples, surprises, and scavenger hunts you host.

Features

Drop a message anywhere

Pick a spot on the map, set how close they must be, and record a voice note or write a text. It opens only when they stand there.

For couples and surprises

A love note at your spot, a 'reasons I love you' trail, a hidden birthday message at their favourite bar — waiting exactly where it belongs.

Make it a game

Chain places into a Trail quest, or host an Echo Hunt for up to 10 players with a live leaderboard and anti-cheat.

No app for them

Recipients and players just open a link — no account, no install.

Warmer / colder hints

A distance hint guides them to the spot without spoiling the surprise.

Private by design

Their location is never stored as a track, and audio is deleted once it's heard or expires.

Frequently asked questions

How does a location-locked message work?

You drop it at a spot on the map with a radius. It stays sealed until the recipient physically reaches that spot, then unlocks and plays.

Does the person I send it to need an app?

No — they open a simple link. No app, no account, on any phone.

Is my recipient's location tracked?

No. Echo is private by design: a recipient's location is never stored as a movement track.

Is it free?

Yes, drops are free. Echo Premium adds longer audio, up to 10 recipients, no expiry, and a photo. It is an optional subscription bought in the Echo app for iPhone or Android, at the price shown in the App Store or Google Play.
