Echo Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 October 2026
By creating an Echo account or using the Echo app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Echo. Echo is operated by AimDev.
What Echo does
Echo lets you leave a message — text, a voice recording, or a photo — that a recipient can only unlock when they physically reach a location you choose. You can also build ordered trails and host multiplayer "Echo Hunt" games.
Your responsibility for content and recipients
- You are responsible for the content of every drop, trail, and game you create, and for the recipient and player details (names, emails, phone numbers) you enter. You confirm you have a legitimate reason to contact each recipient and that you are not using Echo to harass, stalk, deceive, or spam anyone.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or that depicts or targets another person without a proper basis.
- Do not use Echo to direct anyone to an unsafe or trespassing location, or in any way that could foreseeably endanger a recipient or player. You choose the locations and are responsible for their safety and legality.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to enumerate access tokens, extract another creator's drops or audio, or bypass the location-unlock mechanism.
- Do not scrape, overload, or disrupt the service.
- You are responsible for keeping your account and sign-in credentials secure.
Location and delivery reliability
Unlocking depends on the recipient's device location accuracy, connectivity, and platform location permissions, all outside our control. We do not guarantee that any drop can be unlocked, that any notification is delivered, or that a game runs without interruption. Echo is an entertainment product and must not be relied on for anything safety-critical.
Payments
Echo is free to use. Echo Premium is sold only inside the Echo apps for iPhone and Android, as an auto-renewing subscription with a monthly and a yearly option. Nothing is sold on this website. The price is shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm. It is billed by Apple or Google to the account you bought it with, and renews automatically unless you turn auto-renew off in that account's settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies, not by us.
Premium belongs to your Echo account: sign in on the web with the same account and it applies here too. If you paid for a premium drop or a hosted-game pass on the web before in-app purchase replaced it, that drop or game keeps what you paid for.
Ephemeral media
Voice recordings and photos are deleted after the recipient listens/views or when the drop expires. Do not rely on Echo as durable storage for your media — keep your own copy if you want to retain it.
Privacy
Your use of Echo is also governed by the Echo Privacy Policy, which explains what data we process (including recipient/player details you enter) and confirms that recipient locations are never stored and that audio/photos are ephemeral. You can delete content or your account in-app or by emailing privacy@aimdev.site.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Echo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AimDev is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of, or inability to use, Echo — including undelivered notifications, failed unlocks, or lost media. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including non-excludable consumer guarantees where they apply).
Changes and termination
We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the change. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
